School Board Elections
Hayfield Schools holds even-year elections in conjunction with the state general elections. If needed, a special election can be called on an off-cycle year to vote on a question or fill a board member vacancy. In most cases, special elections are administered by the school district.
The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. At that election, four (4) members will be elected to the school board for terms of four (4) years each. (2025-2029)
To file for School Board Office:
- Obtain an Affidavit of Candidacy on the Secretary of State’s website.
- File your Affidavit of Candidacy and a $2 filing fee with Lila Rehnelt at the Hayfield School District Office, 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM: 9 Sixth Avenue SE, Hayfield MN 55940
Candidate Filing Period: Tuesday, July 30 – Tuesday, August 13, 2024, until 5:00 PM (Fridays the office is closed.)
