Welcome to Hayfield Community Schools!

As Superintendent of Hayfield Community Schools, it is my privilege to serve our students, families, staff, and community. Every day, I am reminded how fortunate we are to be part of a district that truly cares about its children and works together to help every student succeed.

Prior to joining Hayfield in 2017, I spent my entire educational career in Fulda, Minnesota. From 1999 to 2012, I served as a social studies teacher, elementary principal, and coach. From 2012 through 2017, I was the High School Principal and Athletic Director while also serving as the Head Girls' Basketball Coach for 16 years and teaching College Government and College Psychology. Those experiences provided me with a strong appreciation for the many ways educators can positively impact the lives of students.

My wife, Tina, is a Physical Education teacher in the Hayfield School District, and together we have been proud to raise our family in this wonderful community. Our daughter, Payton, graduated from the University of Minnesota Rochester and is a sonographer with Mayo Clinic. Our oldest son, Ethan, graduated from Dakota State University and is pursuing his career, while our youngest son, Drew, is entering his senior year of high school. Hayfield has become our home, and we are grateful for the friendships, support, and sense of community we have found here.

Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to challenge, encourage, and inspire students while preparing them for success beyond graduation.

As Superintendent, my commitment is to ensure that every decision we make is centered on what is best for our students while maintaining strong partnerships with our families, staff, and community. Together, we will continue to build on Hayfield's proud traditions while embracing opportunities that prepare our students for an ever-changing future.
